The Colchester Food Co-op is a non-profit-making community project. By becoming a member you can buy good food that is environmentally friendly, fairly traded and affordable.

We stock packaged and unpackaged food like grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, flour, seasoning, snacks and pasta. Many of the products we stock are organic.

Members can order online as part of our monthly bulk order, and/or buy items from our shop at the Common Ground community café. We also partner with a weekly veg bag scheme, the Bennison Community Supported Agriculture farm.

The Colchester Food Co-op is great way to meet and share with like-minded people in the Colchester area. We ask members to volunteer about three times a year – tidying, filling the shelves, sorting the monthly order, for example. We also try to hold regular social events to which all members are invited.

We have a battery and pedal powered bike delivery service to Colchester and surrounding villages.
